Soup 0.2.0

A quieter workspace shell with a unified sidebar, transactional file operations, presentation mode and the start of workspace intelligence.

Overview

0.2.0 tightens the everyday surfaces. The sidebar, note context pane and task views share a single workspace renderer with module specific filters, so opening a workspace lights up every panel without a per module bootstrap.

Workspace operations like create, rename, move and delete are now transactional with full undo. Adding a presentation mode for notes and wikilink autocomplete makes longer writing sessions calmer.

Workspace shell

  • Sidebar streamlined: Notes and Diagrams panels now share the unified workspace tree renderer with module specific file filters and click handlers.
  • Workspace file snapshot is loaded eagerly on workspace open so all module panels render immediately without per module bootstrap effects.
  • Sidebar collapse and expand with persistent state per workspace.
  • Status bar gains a workspace selector and a close workspace action.

Notes

  • Note presentation mode renders the active note as a live, scrollable preview while editing continues in the source pane.
  • Wikilink autocomplete in the editor with workspace path search.
  • Inline task badges next to markdown checkboxes in the editor.

Workspace operations

  • All file create, rename, move and delete operations are transactional with undo.
  • Workspace intelligence service tracks note context, outgoing and incoming links, and a unified task inbox.

Removed

  • Indexed diagram extraction from markdown fences in the Diagrams panel. Markdown fence diagrams remain editable inside their host notes.
  • Several dead helpers and components from the controller and sidebar that were no longer reachable.
